Lawmakers skirt rules for cashSNIP...."Senate President Jim King needed to talk to some of his fellow senators last December. So he chose a place where he thought they wouldn't be seen -- a restaurant atop the south end zone of Doak Campbell Stadium at Florida State University.
The $423 tab was paid by the Floridians for a More Informed Electorate, a "committee of continuous existence," that has funneled campaign contributions to senators loyal to King and has helped pay with meals and travel....."
SNIP...."What started as a trickle of money into these accounts four years ago has turned into a torrent as nearly every lawmaker in a leadership post, or vying for one, has turned to friends and political allies to set up these accounts.
One legislator bluntly said she had no intention of revealing the names of people who are giving to her account or "committee of continuous existence."
