This LTTE was in our paper (Orlando Sentinel). So, is this person full of shit? And does this have any connection to the fact that the current lines are contaminated?


Dr. Frist' on stem cells . . .

The Senate majority leader, "Dr." Bill Frist, has apparently determined that science trumps life.

There are major successes with adult stem-cell testing and cord blood-stem cell testing as well. There are currently zero successes with embryonic stem cells; in fact, these cells are creating cancers in the animals tested.

It seems to me that if we are spending taxpayer money on stem-cell research, it makes more sense to go with the testing that is working as opposed to the embryonic cell testing that is not and currently has more hype than promise.

2. I always ask shittoheads like this the same question.

"If you were going to design a study to determine whether adult or cord blood stem cells can be as effective as embryonic stem cells in developing cures or treatments for various diseases or conditions, to what would you compare the adult or cord blood stem cells?"

I have never had a shittohead answer this question. However, several have said I had made a good point.
