Jean Schmidt blatantly violating election law
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 07:42 PM by Gabi Hayes
caller to Sam Seder is documenting how Jean Schmidt is getting WELL within the 100 foot margin within which no signs or campaigning is permitted

the caller was GREETED PERSONALLY by Schmidt inside this perimeter

he told pollworkers about it, who asked her to leave

she refused

the caller went back and got a camera and videotaped her violating the law!

Clermont county, btw

EDIT: how do you make those blue boxes for snips and stuff? is there an HTML code somebody can link? tired bolds and italics

thx

oh yeah...might as well put this up before they archive it.
Here's how you recognize her

3. Yep
And the caller said he saw her running back inside the church which is where the polling was done (I vote in a church as well in a cafeteria like room). Wasn't she involved with Tom Noe?

Jean Schmidt is well known for never forgetting a face or a name. Conventional wisdom recognizes her renowned memory to the point where the Cincinnati Enquirer noted (July 31, 2005):

>>>>Schmidt knows the district very well, having almost a "file-card" memory to recall details about people, places and issues she's had experience with on the local level.

Yet on this morning's CBS 12 "Newsmakers" program, Jean Schmidt lied to the voters - only two days before the election. In an effort to cover up Jean Schmidt's involvement in the scandalous culture of corruption, Schmidt said she didn't know Tom Noe. Schmidt said she'd never met Tom Noe. Schmidt said she had never even heard of Tom Noe. The woman with the "file-card memory" lied.

You see, Jean Schmidt was Vice Chair of the Higher Education Subcommittee of the House Finance and Appropriations Committee. During the same period, Tom Noe was a member of the Board of Regents.

In fact, on March 21, 2002, official state documents prove Jean Schmidt testified before Tom Noe's committee. Tom Noe seconded and approved the minutes for this meeting, which read:

At least she could only be in one place at one time ... unless she had surrogates doing the same outside Clermont County.

Besides, anyone who votes for a person because she gives them a crappy nail fiole with her name on it get what they deserve for a representative.

Too bad the rest of us don't deserve it.

45. well....how hard would it be to look up election statutes?
it't obvious that there's a LAW that does not allow campaigning within a certain distance of polling places

I work at a jr. high school/polling place, and the signs there are always place PRECISELY at the 100 foot limit

I can't imagine what would happen if a candidate PERSONALLy appeared within that limited space and handed out campaign material

what do other DUers have to say about similar occurrences in their own districts?

surely you know what I'm talking about....the signs don't EXIST within that certain protected distance

can you imagine a candidate standing there, just outside the door, handing out dildoes, nail files/whatever?

she should be ARRESTED posthaste, as soon as the incriminating video is submitted.

where's my drink?

PS a big kudos to Jim Sagle, for his acumen
