"Little Prince" on PBS- symphony of emotions of Liberals
Edited on Wed Aug-03-05 12:05 AM by oscar111
PBS is showing The Little Prince.

It is a great anthem of the emotions underlying a liberal's attitudes.

honesty, curiosity, love toward all, calm, benevolence, joy, upward striving, the unity of humanity

dont miss it

1. PBS is locally programmed. DUers aren't.
 When you disable your profile and don't say where you are, the information value of such a post approaches zero.

but no trace of famous TX conservatism.

The actors are well picked to express their attitudes. They "look the part" they are doing.

Best parts are the beginning and then from Lamplighter to the end.

I avoid the king and also the pompous fellow too.

The music is great. I dont like opera, but this is an exception i will make.

3. Antoine de Saint-Exupery --a war hero too
so the Re-Thugs will be working hard to bury this one.

5. I don't have "love toward all."
I must be a moderate.

6. i meant love toward the core of all in buddhist sense
not toward the outer criminal facets of some.

buddhists see the core of beings as without content, therefore not disagreeable.

I understand what you are saying.

Have you seen the closing few minutes of Prince?

7. NOT a Buddhist.
There are some beings I hate to the core. I don't care what's there, it sucks.

(image from the site dedicated to him).

would like to also read this book (whose name in French is much like a perfume made a long time ago by Carven: "Vol de Nui")...now that your post has peaked my interest.
