The Vietnam vet is a member of Veterans for Peace & The Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center. He's talking about the anti-war movement. The Iraq vets are saying how much they respect anti-war protesters! All saying you can be against the war and support the troops.
The Iraq vets are an interesting pair. One worked in a medical corp., and had good experiences with the Iraqi people. The other guy I think is a grunt, he was much more reserved/cautious in his assessment of how the Iraqi people responded to US military presence.
Vietnam vet just said he was against all war. The interviewer asked, "Well, what about Hitler? Wasn't that justified?" And he answered that history has proven that the world had plenty of opportunity to forestall WWII but we chose not to intervene until Hitler really got aggressive.
He was also asked how he felt about the Iraq soldiers & vets having so much public support whereas the Vietnam vets were not supported widely by the public. He replied that we have to get over Vietnam and start focusing on the current troops and new vets, particularly with regard to cutting medical and other benefits.
I can't believe this is on Fox. :wow: Of course it's on the morning show, after 8am when people with day jobs couldn't possibly see it, but still... I can't believe they have anyone sympathetic to the anti-war movement on.
