Here’s a telling exchange that I had with a FReeptard on my local paper’s website. I’m Antares. The FReep goes by B. Augustus. They’re finally getting so smug that they’re actually telling the truth--
BTW, Bugly, 14 marines were killed by insurgents today in Iraq. 7 were killed yesterday. YOU KILLED THEM. The blood is on your hands. You and your people sent them there to die. Their wives cry inconsolably because of you. Their children will never have a father because of you. Our country has lost the best and bravest men we've got because of you. Try not to think about it while you're putting (he's a golfer) or anything. Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 09:40 AM
Hey, people die in wars. It's a shame, but you'll get over it. Won't affect my game a bit. Sorry about the dead Marines...tough sh*t to you. Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 10:04 AM
Antares! I'm having a concience attack! ARGH! CAN'T-GET-BLOOD-OFF-HANDS! Ah, just kidding. Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 10:10 AM
Making a joke about the death of marines sacrificing themselves to duty, their duty to ungrateful P's O S like you, you condemn yourself with your own mouth.
I hope you're an organ donor while you're riding that donor-cycle of yours.
Someday, somebody might be able to use your heart, since you don't seem to be using it. Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 10:18 AM Antares, I have no heart. So what's your point? Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 10:41 AM
Bugly-- How many servicemen have died in Iraq? Do you even know? Do you even care?
Do you know anyone personally who has had to fight in Iraq? Do you know any family whose loved one has died in Iraq?
Is the rate of death of our fighting men and women increasing or decreasing after two and one-half years occupying Iraq? How many Iraqi civilians have been killed?
Do you agree with Dick Cheney when he said, "capturing Saddam is not worth one American life" 1992? Or Colin Powell, "for the purpose of keeping in check Saddam Hussein's ambitions toward developing weapons of mass destruction . . . (sanctions) have worked. He (Saddam) has not developed any significant capability with respect to weapons of mass destruction" (Feb. 2001)?
If you're not outraged, you haven't been paying attention . . . Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 11:07 AM Oh goodie, Antares, a quiz! Around 1800, yes, I try not to lose any sleep over it, yes, yes, Probably, tens of thousands, doesn't matter, doesn't matter, not an issue. How'd I do?
I'm not outraged at all...try to save my outrage for tax time. I'm sure your little quiz is full of loaded questions guaged to set liberals ablaze. Didn't do a thing for me. Cry me a river. Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 12:22 PM
Buttugly-- You should try having a son over there for a year like I did, so I could tell you "cry me a river."
POS . . . Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 12:58 PM
We won, You lose. We've spent many years setting up the political "Machine" that will keep you libs out of power where you belong. Do yourselves a favor and either shut up, move to Canada, or move to France. Your silly limp-wrist party is history. Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 01:03 PM
But it's nice to see a conservative finally come clean--you smug plicks really don't care about the troops, do you? Put another magnet on the Hummer, as long as you don't have to sacrifice by actually paying for it or putting your sorry a** on the line, you're just fine with W's splendid little war. Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 01:07 PM
Antares, if I had a heart, you'd be breaking it. Yer kid wasn't forced to join, he knew what he was getting into, I go back far enough to believe you owe your country a debt of service. You're barking up the wrong tree, bubba.
I don't care if you call me buttugly (don't care what you call me as long as it isn't late for dinner), I don’t give a rat's ass about your kid, and I care even less about what you think. You're just another liberal bed-wetter. But you're a lib bed-wetter who takes orders from us, cause we're in charge.
Hate that, doncha? Posted by: B Augustus | August 3, 2005 01:14 PM
Bug-- Your post is wrong on so many levels that it's hard to know where to start.
1. I know that you don't give a rat's ass about my son putting his life on the line for your POS leader. It's nice to hear one of you finally admit it. You only care about yourself--that's the essence of conservatism, making sure that those who have a lot, get more.
2. "I go back far enough to believe that you owe your country a debt of service." You hypocritical b*st*rd! Why don't you people SERVICE the DEBT that your POS leader has racked up fighting this war by making people pay taxes to support it. Why? Because then you'd actually have to SACRIFICE a little bit, which is what conservatives only make other people do.
3. "You take orders from us." Are you kidding me? You're kidding me, right? Did you "take orders" from Clinton when he was in office for eight years?
Nathan Hale didn't give his life for his country so that I would have to take an order from this P O S administration or any of you P's O S that support it.
I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.
BTW, my son gets out of the Army in October, if the b*st*rds let him.
You're not fit to tie his boots. Posted by: Antares | August 3, 2005 01:24 PM
Bugly has gone strangely quiet after our little interchange, but note the part where he says "I don't give a rat's ass about your son," my son who served in Iraq and is now in Korea.
If you stick it to them enough, the truth will reveal its ugly head . . .
