Kids' Lemonade Stand Shut Down After Competitor Complains
Kids' Lemonade Stand Shut Down After Competitor Complains

SALEM, Mass. -- A sausage vendor has given two Massachusetts boys a lesson in cutthroat business techniques.

Police shut down the boys' lemonade stand in Salem after the sausage man complained that they didn't have a permit and were taking customers away from him.

Lieutenant Scott Englehart said police had no choice but to enforce the rules. But he said it's "ridiculous that little kids can't sell lemonade."

Jarrod Clowery is the sausage man. He said he regrets ever calling police because now all he gets are icy stares from people around town who heard about the story.

Hey Jarrod: sometimes "instant karma" is spelled "word of mouth"!

3. Asshole
Now that he regrets it, he surely wouldn't mind kids selling lemonade again, right?

5. Regrets
"Jarrod Clowery is the sausage man. He said he regrets ever calling police because now all he gets are icy stares from people around town who heard about the story."

What did he expect. And his regrets are not about being an ass but about how people treat him now.

7. Yeah, I can't imagine this story has ended up helping his business
I gotta admit, though, that I don't like it when kids sell "Crystal Light" lemonade. It's just not the same as at least frozen lemonade or, better yet, fresh squeezed.

Mmmmmmmmmm

Kids these days!

12. No kidding- he should have made them "My good-luck mascots"
But then, that is what a normal person would have done instead of a Scrooge.

10. "Sausage man" isn't very savvy. He should have supplied the kids' stand...
and taken his share of the profits for charity. He could have built up good will and taught those kids many enterprising things.

Now, his reward for being the town crank is well-deserved.

11. what a dork..
it reminds me of an event that happened close to here a few years back..

a lady who worked for a pizza shop delivering pizzas was fired after she showed up late after a delivery.. her excuse, she helped save the live of a person who was stabed with a knife.. it ended up making jay Leno and international news.. i bet you anything that shop is out of business now.. good old knee jerk reactions make people look like.. umm jerks
