SCOTUS Website wins crappiest gov website award
I just went to the United States Supreme Court website and was shocked to see a website design that a 13 year old could beat.
The home page is not so bad, but the inside? BAD!!

here it is http://www.supremecourtus.gov/about/about.html

Now, I know this is government, but man this one is truly ugly.

2. I guess you could look at it this way...
it cost the taxpayers a lot less than what a 14 year old would have charged ;)

4. Not likely...
What do you want to bet that someone charged five figures to create this site?

3. That link got me a 404 - file not found.
Maybe the Court's webmaster reads DU and got so embarrassed by these posts that he pulled the site.

5. Looks like it was created by the Gov't Printing Office

Do they still use carbon paper there to amke copies?

This Website is maintained by the Supreme Court of the United States to provide Court information to the bar, the public, and the news media. The site was developed by the Court and the Government Printing Office (GPO) and is part of the GPO Access System. Technical questions about this Website should be directed to the GPO Access User Support Team by e-mail to gpoaccess@gpo.gov, or by telephone to (888) 293-6498 <(202) 512-1530 from the D.C. metro area>. Substantive questions should be directed, in writing, to the Public Information Officer, Supreme Court of the United States, Washington DC 20543.

6. Hah
Pick a DoD site, any DoD site. You'll get a melange of mid-90s GeoCities jumbotron table layouts, zero-information brochureware, unoptimized imagery, browser-specific markup ("sorry, you need Internet Explorer to view this page"), new windows spawned with every click, and hyperlinks that don't allow you to drill down but instead suck you into a labyrinthe of warps where you can pop up anywhere. Here's one to get you started:

http://www.nasoceana.navy.mil/

Click the Executive Officer link and behold the 1 MEGABYTE jpeg of the gentleman, shoehorned into a 175x216 space.
