The military should disperse personnel like in Viet Nam where they arn't all from the same area.

2. Shades of the Civil War
Man, they spread people out after that war because entire towns were decimated in certain battles.

these idiots couldn't run a war on Warcraft.

First version.

On the simple setting.

5. That's a problem with Reserve units

and, similarly, (Army) National Guard since they're organized regionally and train together.

Active duty units can be gathered from wider areas.

Don;t know if that's applicable here.

6. You might have trouble trying to separate units
They want to fight together, to cover each other's asses. But this is a sad day for our tropps, who should all be separated from Iraq....

Nine were from the same company in Columbus, 6 from a company based in Brook Park OH (that's of the 21 who died most recently). The people weren't all from the same suburb. The kid from Toronto, that's 4 hours away from Brook Park.

8. That's so freaking sad.
My heart goes out to their families. My nephew is going back next month for his second tour. I can't stand thinking about it.

9. I know, I've been weepy for two days
That young man from Toronto was a part time policeman in my city. He let my son off with a warning, instead of giving him a ticket (loud radio) because he knew he'd have to go to remedial driving school. It breaks my heart.

10. Oh damn.
It really hits home, doesn't it? My poor sister practically never slept the first tour. I don't know how these parents do it. I really don't.

11. Yeah it sure did
I'm not even sure why. I didn't even know him and there have been a few others from neighboring cities who have died over there. I guess it's just gotten to me so bad, they're all dying for no good reason.

14. That really is the thing for me too.
They are fighting this war that was based on lies. Don't get me wrong, Saddam was a tyrant, but we were lied to by this Administration. I would LOVE to see them pay for it in their own lifetimes.

12. I am very sorry for the loved ones who are left behind. I don't know
what to do. It seems like Ohio will endure anything, graft, corruption, theft, death, to remain loyal to the Conservative Movement, pro-war, anti-abortion, intelligent design.

16. I don't know what to do either
People in Ohio, a good many Dems and Repugs alike, are convinced that these kids are being sacrificed for the greater good.

to fight overseas like this. These assholes in charge are the worst of the worst. There is a special place in hell for these people.

15. No Such T hing Was Done In Viet Nam
Not in the least. They had job MOSs and when there was an opening, so to speak, the commander put in a requisition for a man and he got one. Nobody on earth gave a shit where that body came from and it was just the luck of the draw. Of course troops did come from the south, disporportionatly as it has always been, in greater numbers than the rest of the country.

20. 20 Lives lost, for no reason
Other than the profits of the US oil companies!

If Bush and company really were in Iraq for freedom and democracy, they would also send troops to a dozen other places in the world with ugly dictators, and theocracies !!

The lives of 20 more people... we democrats are asleep if we think this is NOT a tragic loss for tragic reasons!!!

22. Where is the outrage?
Why the fuck aren't people organizing marches or any other types of protest? This is worse than Vietnam on many levels. We ended that nightmare, we can do the same to this disaster. We need people, though. The only way the press will take notice is through large groups of people mobilizing. I'm ready. How about you?
