What's there to talk about? I don't mean to sound insensitive, but if they've been missing for over a year, the chances of anything else are extremely slim.

What's the story here? What's the story in Aruba? Perhaps they'll find the bodies someday, but I still don't understand why the media would be so involved in something which probably has no impact on every single person in this country, family & friends excepted.

But then...that would mean the MSM would have to cover something important or relevant for a change.

the Laci/Nancee/Runaway Bride apologists say is what is reallly behind the unfair coverage.

This is about a specific image and storyline: pretty, caucasian (or caucasian looking) "damsel in distress".

The media and the American television viewers themselves (who are driving the ratings) are telling us "we value this specific type of individual's life above all others."

I saw a preview/commercial of this and Tamika's relatives are talking about the race issue - how she is good looking, middle class, a woman, etc - the only difference being race.
