Who is paying for the Rove aides legal bills?

The ABC Note broke the story of Ralston and Hernandez testifying before Fitzgerald's grand jury last week. The Note included this curious bit:

We should Note that Ralston and Hernandez are two of the nicest people in Washington and their being called to appear is a necessary reminder of the Caputoean phenomenon from the Clinton Era, which some have forgotten. When there are special prosecutors, a lot of kind, innocent people can get caught up in the investigation, often saddling them with huge legal bills and emotional stress.

4. Are the Rovians paying for the aides' lawyers?

According to the ABC Note and what I remember, the aides must get lawyers of their own. Remember Starr said there was not attorney/client privilege because the administration lawyers work for the American people.

The aides can't be paid much since Rove only makes 161K a year in DC where housing prices and other expenses are very high. So, did they accept Rovian help in getting lawyers?

The point being that Rovian lawyers are going to be for Rove, not for the hapless (or not so hapless) aides.
