Jay Marvin Appreciation

I'd like to thank Jay Marvin for guest hosting for Springer these weeks. As many of DU have pointed out, it SUCKS when shows on AAR are "Best of ___" shows. I don't know if this arrangement was made by AAR or Springer's staff but nontheless it is appreciated. I think if we can let know AAR and the guest hosts knwo that we appreciate them, we most likely continue to get guest hosts.

I know we have him now because his local broadcast coincides with Jerry's timeslot. Therefore we can assume that there are other broadcasts that coincide with the boradcasts of AAR vacationing personalities.


Besides giving us a live show, I think Jay is doing a great job. Boulder is lucky to have him. I really like his style.

Thank you so much for guest hosting for Jerry these weeks. Besides the fact that it is nice to have live broadcasts, I am really enjoying your show. You are a good liberal with no-nonsense style. Keep up the good work, and Boulder is lucky to have you! I hope you will guest host on Air America in the future.

1. So he's not on WLS anymore?

I hadn't listened to him since Mike Malloy was on that station. After Marvin came back to 'LS from Denver it sounded like he was forced to either drink the repug kool-aid or get off the air.

3. That's the same impression I got about it

His blog says some things about it in a somewhat cryptic fashion. He was thrilled to be going to Colorado and be free from the grip of whatever they were doing to him. :)

4. You can stream him

Jay is broadcasting at 760 AM in Boulder, as he broadcasts during Jerry's timeslot, locally he was picked to cover Jerry's national spot. He is doing a fantastic job.

I have only heard him this week while on AAR so I can't answer your question.... but its looks like he is on an AM station and streaming.... Thats a way to bypass the repug monopoly these days.

2. I like him too, but just don't bring up MIHOP/LIHOP

He considers it kooky and won't address the glaring holes in the official story. That flaw aside, he's does a great job. I'm going to start listening to his show instead of Springer (who usually bores me to death).
