I am truly sick of them, I wish I didn't need to depend on them so much. They make more money then I would ever see in a 100 lifetimes. And yet they are still so greedy. It's time we all fight back! www.ExxposeExxon.org

WASHINGTON -- Defenders of Wildlife today joined with a coalition of America's largest public interest and environmental groups in a campaign to "Exxpose Exxon" and the company's irresponsible environmental behavior. The Exxpose Exxon campaign, including Defenders of Wildlife, Greenpeace, Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, and U.S. PIRG (Public Interest Research Group), released a new report, "ExxonMobil: Icon of a Bad Corporate Leader," which is available along with detailed background information at
www.ExxposeExxon.org
"ExxonMobil is by far the worst international oil company on environmental issues. It is the only major oil company still pushing to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and is the main industry force blocking much of the effort to combat global warming," said Rodger Schlickeisen, president of Defenders of Wildlife. "It's time people knew just how bad this company is for wildlife and wild places."
The Exxpose Exxon campaign is reaching out to the American public calling on ExxonMobil to:
Protect, instead of drill, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and pull out of Arctic Power. Support mandatory caps on global warming pollution and stop funding junk science that clouds the debate on global warming. Save consumers money at the pump and ease our oil dependence by investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency and supporting fuel efficiency. Pay all of the punitive damages awarded to fishermen and others harmed by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.
As part of the campaign, the coalition of groups will reach out to Americans across the country and ask them to help "Exxpose Exxon" by refusing to work for ExxonMobil, refusing to invest their hard-earned dollars in ExxonMobil, and refusing to buy ExxonMobil products.
"Socially responsible investors and consumers have a right to demand that large corporations be good public citizens," said Schlickeisen. "In Exxon's case, being a good citizen should mean recognizing their societal duty to protect the environment even as they run their business. It's the ethical thing to do."
