Is Katherine Harris involved in an extramarital affair with Rick Renzi?

I remember seeing a while ago posts regarding some C-Span footage where Katherine Harris (R-FL 13) was involved in rather "playful engagement", shall we say, with Rick Renzi (R-AZ 1) on the floor of the House.

I found a picture. Rob Simmons, a Congressman from my home state (though thankfully not my rep) talks about Iraq while Harris feels Renzi's bicep. Both are married.



This started some rather interesting rumors that the two are carrying on an affair.

Given Harris's Senate race, if this got picked up by somebody - ANYBODY - it would trash her standing against other Republicans, and Nelson (he's already over 10 points ahead, according to polls). It would be a bombshell, and could doom the fates of two worthless Bushbots in Congress.

They *could* just be really chummy, but then this is Harris we are talking about. Even if it's not true, remember the old rule to "make the bastard deny it".

Any other info on this? Commentary? Flames? Snide remarks? Dirty jokes?

19. I have a friend here in Sarasota who has a business association

with Katherine. This friend (she's a republican) told me she cannot stand Harris because of the way she acts around men...any men. My friend said she is known around town as a man hunter.

Believe me, my friend usually does not trash other republicans. She's a born-again and naive about politics, but her take on Katherine seems right on.
