Who is the current #2-al-Zarqawi or al-Zawahiri?

I thought al-Zarqawi was the #2 or is that only in Iraq where al-Zawahiri is Osama's #2? I am confused.

According to Wikipedia, paraphrased, Al-Zawahiri is Osama's doctor and lieutenant. Al-Zarqawi is the many legged Jordanian with schrapnel sticking out of his chest. So I guess it depends on whether or not #2 means of Iraq al Qaeda or Osama's al Qaeda?

Help please.

And I agree with madeline_con in that "#2" is a bunch of crap. al-Zarqawi is the #2 guy who hops on, miraculously avoiding death again and again to rise again and again. But al-Zawahiri is the #2 guy who we all need to picture and fear. How many #3s have they gone through recently I wonder. Thanks Caleb
