He agreed with her, and said the DNC was working on it, but his recommendation was that people in every state work to get a referendum on the ballot that demanded a law like they have in Oregon. I states that "NO voting equipment will be used in this state that cannot be recounted by hand.

It's short, simple and easy to understand. Howard said that lots of states empower the people to get things put on the ballot just by obtaining enough signatures and everyone should check their State laws.

It would be easier to get this done on a State by State basis than to try to push it though Congress.

I agree with him. He has always said that the PEOPLE have to make the difference, and he's right on this one too. Even if we live in a state that doesn't allow the people to put something on the ballott, we can inundate our State Reps and Sens to get it on there!

I'm still confused as to how the e-voting machines became
so pervasive. I'm not sure how many states have those damn
machines (California did-- and it's way blue), but it was
enough to make a difference. And, of course, the key states
(Ohio & Florida) had them firmly in place from the get-go.

The bush crime family lets nothing stop them. And, if it
looks as if they can't win, they'll implement any measure,
however illegal, to ensure they do.

9. The entire State of Ga. uses evoting machines. They were the first!

I don't know for sure if they are tampered with or not. The fact that Ga elected it's first Rep Governor in over 100 years is quite suspect, but I'll even streatch it and say maybe they did.

My problem with Evoting machines is that IF there is ANY question about the validity of the vote anywhere, we must do something to convince all Americans that it is accurate...whatever it takes!

It doesn't matter if they are accurate or not, the problem is that people think they aren't!

Any business knows that! There's no bank in the world who could get anyone to use an ATM if the user thougt there might be a problem! Many people, me included, will not deposit cash into an ATM, because you have no proof of what you put in. If the bank differs from what you say, you loose!

Same thing with voting. Do whatever is necessary to make people confident there is proof of how they voted!

All of this comes down to the fact that bushco won because they
cheated. And cheating in the election enabled them to gang rape
our country. That's the source of all our nightmares: the electoral
process. Until we get a handle on it, we'll be screwed forevermore.

I KNOW they weren't in place (or even operable) when papa chimp
ran against Clinton because... papa chimp LOST. Just like junior.

I think they are, and so do you, but we don't have any proof!

That's what I'm arguing! If ANY voter thinks the cachines are faulty, a change needs to be made to convince EVERY voter that his vote was cast, and it is registered as he cast it!

Dibold being honest or not, or any other arguments don't matter! The problem that needs to be fixed is that there are a lot of voters who doubt the validity of the machines, and theat must be eliminated!

12. For me, the... er, red flag went up when I read that Diebold refused

to allow independent software engineers to examine their code.
Pretty suspicious, especially when you consider who benefitted.

Besides, I would think "conflict of interest" would enter into
it somehow??

All I know is that election results went haywire once those
machines were in place. Coincidence? Perhaps. But seeing how
bushco operates (i.e., above the law) makes me pretty certain
there was some dirty dealings involved.

I don't know how it could be proven without a doubt, though.
I'm sure they're pretty adept at covering up their tracks.
