he can; after deducting all his vacation time he has served less than two terms..

2. Or considering the fact he didn't really win in 2000
He can run again in 2008.

5. Oh Please no!
That would mean he'd steal 2008 as well-we can't afford to have * until 2012!

16. It would actually
be kind of fitting to have * in office when time ends

3. Or just deducting the parts of the Constution that don't count anymore
Remember, he hasn't just undermined the Bill of Rights... the war in Iraq actually contravenes the major provisions of Article One.

4. Plus, he wasn't elected for the first term.
22nd Amendment - "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice..."

Since he was appointed the first time, maybe he COULD run again. :-)

(but seriously, the rest of that sentence is "...and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once," so that wouldn't fly either)

But hey, that means Cheney isn't able to run either since he has "acted as President" for two terms!

6. Ha Ha Leno, Laugh about that dirty rotten bastard, that you voted for
and soak in the blood that he "brought on". Nothing about bush is a laughing matter.

8. He said he's a Dem. But 5 years later he's still telling Clinton jokes.

Perhaps half Leno's writers are assigned to write for bush, after all everything he says is a joke.

arnold.

10. Jay Leno is no Bush voter
Edited on Thu Aug-04-05 11:58 PM by Caleb
Per LA Weekly:

Jay Leno says, “I’m not conservative. I’ve never voted that way in my life.” He “really worries” what a Dubya victory in November will do to the makeup of the Supreme Court. He believes “the wool was pulled over our eyes” with the Iraq war. He thinks the White House began using terrorism “as a crutch” after 9/11. He feels that during the campaign Kerry should “make Bush look as stupid as possible.” He believes “the media is in the pocket of the government, and they don’t do their job” so “you have people like Michael Moore who do it for them.” He has on his joke-writing staff a number of former professional speechwriters for Democratic candidates. “No Republicans.” When it comes to Bush, he doesn’t think his politics are much different from Letterman’s. “Does he show his dislike maybe a little more than I do? Probably.” Leno used to read Mother Jones magazine.

12. Don't know about Leno, but I know Jimmy Kimmel was PISSED
(and more than a little confused) that Arnie was to become Gov. I tuned in to his show the night of the election. He just kept shaking his head and saying he didn't believe it. He seemed genuinely upset by it.

I decided in that moment that I really liked Kimmel. :D

15. My best friend is a writer for Leno...he was telling me that one day
he wrote about 4 pages of Ann Coulter jokes. Leno told my friend, "No one knows who Ann Coulter is...they won't get these jokes." My friend disagreed with Jay.

He went home and asked his wife if she knew who Ann Coulter was. She didn't.

He went back the next day and told Jay he was right.

Does most of America have their head in the sand??

17. I wouldn't know who Ann Coulter was either...
...if I didn't frequent DU and other political discussion boards. I don't listen to RW hate radio, and almost never watch conservative-leaning talk shows on TV either. Once in a VERY great while, I watch the 700 Club to see what the Religious Right is up to, but I can't take more than a few minutes of it. I first learned who Ann Coulter was from freepers on another board praising her and the regulars on DU trashing her.

So far, I haven't heard anything that would make me want to watch that bitch or listen to her, and if it weren't for the Internet I still wouldn't know about her.
