What do you think of Bernard Goldberg's book about 100 people who
he says are hurting America?

I couldn't get past the introduction because it described as "America Bashers" such heros as Frank Rich, Michael Moore and Krugman who attack the people who are destroying America.

Ok, Abu Ghraib isn't as bad as the Mai Lai massacre, but one involved a bunch of dumb people who couldn't avoid the draft and one was a systematic attempt by old men, who should know better, to torture people. Does it depend on what the definition of "sin" is?

1. I hold roughly the same opinion at Jon Stewart...
that, ultimately, those people don't hold the power to really change, or "screw up" America. That belongs to the people in government.

2. I think
it is pure unadalturated drivel written by a bitter, talentless hack.

4. Hey it comes from a completely unbiased source...
He even wrote a whole book criticising others for their bias, there is no way he could possibly be biased himself. :sarcasm:

6. I used to think that it was complete bull...
Then I realized that he might be right, IF your definition of America is that of a police state ruled by neocon fascists and religious zealots.

In which case, I quite readily believe that deserves Carter to be #6.

(But it's still crazy to include Streisand)
