Mike Barnicle just on Imus: smacked down the blivet and media
Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 07:06 AM by babylonsister
He went off on the blivet for NOT going to any funerals and lambasted the media, bot large newspapers and MSM, for not showing these soldiers' deaths front and center. He was angry! Claims the populace is so noncommital about this war because no one is covering it, like they did VN or even the deaths of 9/11 victims. Nice to hear someone righteously angry about what we've been angry about for months now.

7. I am surprised MSNBC
Played that segment again. Even when Barnicle said "Why don't they (Bush, Cheney et.al) go to the Goddamn funerals. Very surprised that they used that.

2. Barnicle was on a rampage
Wow, I couldn't believe it. That was pure anger at this administration. Said he was sick of Bush and administration playing semantics with this War(A struggle). Barnicle said Instead of Bush being on vacation he should be heading to Ohio to attend the funerals of the men who lost their life. Wanted to know why Bush, Cheney, Rove Rush Limpbaugh are attending the funerals. He was so pissed.

3. Welcome to DU, Jeanette! Another thread mentioned Cheney and
Poppy are visiting the new head of Saudi Arabia (Prince Faud or is he now King Faud?)

I differ from Barnicle though, on Limbaugh attending any of the funerals - he would put such a taint on those solemn events - ish - stay away.

8. Yes if Fred Phelps
is attending these funerals, then so should Bush.

10. It's a working / mourning vacation.
When he clears brush, George can fully reflect on the sacrifice and grief of our soldiers.

5. Barnicle supported the blivet, or are you talking
about Imus? IIRC, both supported Kerry.

9. I heard barnicle and imus berate Kerry...
all the time. Now I do know that imus is on the record as voting for Kerry, but he sure was not trying to convince anyone else to do so, say like the way Howard Stern did. I did not know barnicle voted for Kerry, glad to hear he did, but again, it was a case of luke-warm support.
