Two threads in one here.
First, let's remember that August is a slow news month especially in the political realm. Congress is out of town, the President of the United States takes his historically entrenched month long vacation (a tradition began by George Washington I believe), and even some pundits are given some free time off ;-)
So let's not get too upset when there seems to be little going on. Take the chance to sit back and relax a bit yourself. Plus, this isn't the time to unveil a "new product" anyway.
Now the second part
I have been away from DU a bit (baby born on Friday) but I see that the RW noise machine is actually a part of MSM stories, sometimes they create stories themselves.
Has MSM finally and fully relented admitting that they are simply conduits of the RW newspeak (as Ann Coulter let slip last week)?
Is MSM setting them up for a fall?
Just simply slow news month?
First Katherine Harris's laughable "Those pictures were colorized" insanity on Hannity's radio show Wednesday. I heard that as I was out running errands and picking up dinner stuff for my wife. I don't know if there is a link available for the transcript or audio but Harris was embarassing and laughable BEFORE that stupid comment. I see that it made the news yesterday.
Last night in the RW feignt to make it appear that John Roberts might not be their perfect candidate after all (PUHlease! I could smell that one from a mile away) Rush was quoted and footage was shown on ABC News.
