purposely set himself up for a suicide - I just think he knows he's in real trouble and his nerves are frayed. Things like this lead up to suicide though and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it happens.

2. he was drugged to make him act erratically, so the suicide looks plausible.

don't exclude each other. I don't think his behavior Thursday evening can be used as an example of Novak becoming out of control, etc.

But a public display of becoming out of control is not necessary to bolster suicide.

Tinfoil? You never know. If Novak doesn't outlive this investigation, there will be a lot to think about.

Guilt and so on. People associate journalism with low professional standards, but often that's either not the case or not what individual journalists would like to be the case. A great deal of professional pride attaches to journalism. Suicide and violent death are depressingly common forms of death for journalists.
