This is his testimony to the Senate Committee On Commerce, Science and Transportation on September 19, 1985. It was part of his fight against the PMRC and censorship. Among the more interesting moments is when he accuses Senator Al Gore of a conflict of interest.

Here are the then committte members

2. Awesome Avatar
Is there anything new in the world of Grendel?

I loved the old Hunter Rose stories in the back of Mage. The rest was interesting, but nothing beats Matt's art.

3. I'm impressed...
Guess it's time to change my avatar.

The closest thing to good I've found is this:

"Wells books Wagner comic 'Grendel'

Warner Bros. Pictures-based John Wells Prods. has optioned the graphic novel "Grendel" from its creator, Matt Wagner, in association with Dark Horse Entertainment and Arsenal Entertainment. Scribe Carl Lund is attached to adapt the project through his blind script deal with JWP. An award-winning comic creation, "Grendel" spans several decades with its story encompassing various generations of characters. Lund's script will focus on the story line of Christine Spar, the adopted granddaughter of the notoriously sadistic yet rich and graceful Hunter Rose -- aka the original Grendel. Spar was the focus of Wagner's book "Grendel: Devil's Legacy." {more}

I say we call Quentin... he'd nail the Hunter Rose story

5. Quentin would be great
I've heard the movie (also Mage) has come up and fallen to the back burner several times. I think, though, that it's a very interesting character and could make an awesome series of films. Kinda comic book movies for adults.

4. Tipper's activity in censuring music was a big problem I had with Gore
for VP in the 1992 election.

Of all those that testified, I most remember Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister with his long blond hair going out for 5 feet on either side of him! Not really, but it was great watching him testify and just looking at him. It was like "the people" were speaking.
