Winger on Majority Report with Sam
This idiot keeps talking about personal responsibility (he should tell Bush to take responsibility!) regarding voting rights. It's everyone's personal responsibility to register correctly, go to the right polling place, and the government should not go picking up heroin addicts in limos to go vote (no kidding, he really said that). While I agree it is a person's responsibility to register and go to the right polling place, HOW IS IT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN THEY ARE DELIBERATELY TOLD TO GO TO THE WRONG POLLING PLACE, OR WHEN THEY ARE TOLD THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED SO THEY HAVE TO DO A PROVISIONAL BALLOT, OR WHEN THERE AREN'T ENOUGH MACHINES! Gak, these people make me see bugs! Sam finally hung up on him.

1. Oh damn!
I thought this was going to be a threat about Kip Winger! I thought maybe he was making a comeback or something.

4. Yeah
Listened to him too. "No reports of anyone in Florida being unable to vote." That's a bunch of Novak! :7 And even if you DID vote, was the vote counted? Lots weren't. These people need to take their heads outta their butts and look at the reality of the voting situation in this country.

6. A different "precinct" can be a different table in the same room.
Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 07:06 PM by Eric J in MN
People in Ohio were directed to wrong tables (by accident) told that since they weren't listed they had to cast a provisional ballot, and then their provisional ballots were tossed since they voted in the wrong "precinct."

Provisional ballots should mostly be replaced with national Election Day Registration.

If provisional ballots are still sometimes needed, they shoult count regardless of "precinct," provided the person only voted once.
