three things I know:

1) the American people care passionately about what happened on 9/11/01, and they want to know the truth about what occurred that day;

2) if they knew the truth about 9/11, they would also be led to the truth about the war, oil, foreign policy, corporate corruption, PNAC, election fraud, and a host of other issues; and

3) the corporate media will never tell the truth about 9/11 (or anything else of real import, for that matter) unless we FORCE them to . . . so it's up to US to do just that . . . WE must BE the media and bring the truth about 9/11 to broad public attention . . . exactly what that truth IS, of course, is yet to be determined . . . but that's okay . . .

and then I forgot about it . . . until today . . .

the DVD arrived in today's mail, and I spent the afternoon watching most of it . . . took over four hours, and I'm still not done . . . there are supplemental sections on election fraud and other related issues that I'll get to over the weekend . . .

the DVD is entitled Confronting the Evidence: A Call To Reopen the 9/11 Investigation . . . it does NOT try to explain what happened on 9/11 because, like the rest of us, these folks simply don't know . . . what it DOES do is prove -- conclusively and repeatedly -- that the "official" explanation is impossible . . . and that the investigation must therefore be reopened to find out what really DID happen on that day . . . and who was responsible for it . . .

the DVD is EXTREMELY compelling -- once you sit down and start watching, you can't stop . . . and one of the most interesting things about it is that it is not copyrighted . . . those who order it, in fact, are encouraged to make copies and distribute them far and wide . . . reopen911.org is sending free copies to every library, police deparment, and fire department in the country, as well as to those requesting it from the website . . . over 200,000 copies have already been distributed, and who knows how many additional copies have been made . . .

I firmly believe that the key to defeating BushCo is educating the American public about 9/11 and, ultimately, uncovering the truth about what happened that day . . . accordingly, I'm signing on and making it a personal mission to get the word out . . . next week I'm going out and buy a DVD recorder and a stack of blank discs . . . then I'm going to start making copies of this DVD and distributing them to friends, acquaintances, neighbors, business associates, ministers, and whoever else I can think of . . . I'll even stick a few on the windshields of cars with "Support the Troops" ribbons . . . I have pledged to myself that I will distribute at least five DVDs a week until BushCo is defeated and its principles are in prison . . .

I'm calling on others to do the same . . . order the DVD, watch it, and if you agree that it's important that EVERYONE see it, start making copies and gettng them out there . . . if you don't have a DVD recorder, buy one . . . I'm on disability and certainly can't afford one, but I'm buying one anyhow . . . because the truth -- and ONLY the truth -- will indeed be what sets us free . . .

if just 5% of the 70,000+ DUers each distributed 100 DVDs over the next six months, there would be AT LEAST 350,000 more in circulation . . . this is a project that's do-able, and one that can make THE difference . . .

I have been making copies of 'Confronting the Evidence', In Plane Site, and of David Griffin's Wisconsin lecture. I give them to whomever I can. Some don't want them. Don't want to confront their preconceptions. Most who watch them achieve a bit of an epiphany.

But it sometimes discouraging. Knowing what we all are up against. Knowing the mechanisms are now in place for bushco to arrest whomever they deem 'traitors', 'terrorists', knowing that another 'terrorist' attack in the US will be of such dimensions to allow Bushco to declare martial law, arrest who they want, finally and completely undo the Bill of Rights and Constitution. I can only hope the collapse following peak oil will lead to the collapse of the neocon PNAC 'f---heads'.

The same site has the full DVD available for download, in 30 sections, in quicktime format (.mov files). If you don't have a DVD player or don't want to wait until it comes in the mail, you can download and watch.

You can also record those 30 sections onto CDs (it will take two) and distribute. I'd say we should really take this opportunity, because this material is made available for free and can be distributed without running afoul of copyright law.

9. I received my copy and have been watching it...

...with my wife over the past few days.

The "Confronting the Evidence" part is poorly edited, really a mish-mash of many different clips from different places and times. It may turn off some viewers who expect slicker production values and may be looking for an excuse to dismiss the content and message of the DVD as a whole.

The "Painful Deceptions" documentary, on the other hand, is far more "watchable". It is direct, well-produced, and compelling. I only wish that the DVD was authored to make this the main content.

In any case, I'm very glad that this is being distributed, and I think that it might just help raise public consciousness of what really happened on 9/11 to some sort of "critical mass" where the big questions begin to be asked publically and "no comment" is no longer an acceptable answer.

Kudos to Reopen911.org for their efforts.

16. GREAT .. Ive been doing this for months...

educating people.. I also have many other documentaries like unprecedented, unconstitutional and uncovered (on 1 dvd) that I pass out. I leave a trail of deception dollars, especially on the metro. It interesting to watch, as you wad up the fake dollar and watch reactions... and I do this in DC. I bring DVDs to meetups and house parties and ask them to make copies and pass them on.

as you said.. BE THE MEDIA... we ARE having an impact, with help from AAR and other liberal shows the message is slowly sinking in!! Just keep at it.. and hopfully more DUers will take up the cause of activly speading the word... use your head.. think and then act!
