Would everyone please stop bashing Bush for going on vacation?
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 09:16 PM by TruthIsAll
He does his best work at the Western White House. August is the optimal time of year for developing winning marketing strategies.

On Aug.6, 2001, he received that famous CIA PDB which warned that Bin Laden would strike in the U.S. He immediately ordered the airlines to take appropriate security measures.

In 2002, he received intelligence that Saddam had advanced nuclear, chemical and biological WMD. He spent much of his vacation with Colon Powell in confirmation of the facts to prepare us for the war which he knew had to come in order to protect us all.

In 2003, he spent much of his vacation interrogating his WH staff to determine who was responsible for the Plame leak.

In 2004, while on vacation, he met with Rumsfeld regarding halting “rendition” of prisoners at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.

This August he is spending much time (after clearing brush) taking preparatory measures for the terrorist attack which is sure to come before October.

1. And what was he doing in the summer of '01 while ignoring the 8/6 PDB?
Crafting his pontification on stem cells. He thought that was the only thing worthwhile, that summer in Crawford. A simpler time for us all.

He was kinda deluded there for a minute, thinkin' the Holy Stem Cell President would sell better than the Holy War President, but Karl fixed all that.

5. There were two other things in 2001 he was attempting to figure out
1) How to get more arsenic in our drinking water

2) How to get that much deserve win from the Supreme Court a boost in his cellar poll rating (a 50% approval rating 9/10/2001).

Note: I think he found his answer 9/11/2001.

7. absolutely on 911 the chimp boosted his
approval rating beyond 90%,hell even I supported the chimp after 911.But as time passed rumors grew that chimp and cheney were well aware of the 911 attacks and presumably allowed the attacks to occur. When the NY Post ran a front page story on May 15 2002,"911 shocker,BUSH KNEW prez was warned about terror attacks before they happened. With all the stonewalling, obstruction and denying further investigations into 911 this chimp convinced me,"He's Guilty as sin"......Shame on the Bush Crime Family

8. I forgot something
How to swindle California Grandmothers and all of their kin out of their savings and ship all of that money to Texas via the electric companies. That must have taken some real hard brain work. If that were me, I would have to choke down some headache tablets or maybe something harder like a pretzel. Having yellow body bags in the middle heavily traveled intersections of a city of over a million people was a good distraction on the evening news because somebody turned off the power. Another poke in the eye was having Mr. Cheney on the National News saying the problem with California is their environmental laws restricting them from building enough power plants. All of that was a real piece of work, not to mention, replacing an elected official with a Hollywood Mussel Man, that in my book was tops.
