Dear God, Prove to me that You are real, & remove mr. bush & crew

if You were really there, and really just and good, and You really cared about people, You'd remove mr. bush and his crew from our white house. he mocks You, he takes Your name in vain, and he murders the innocent and rivers of blood stretch out before him.

i pray to You, if You are there, i beseech You, i implore You, i petition You, i demand that You show Yourself and Your mighty swift sword and put an end to all this bush made suffering and chaos, otherwise, don't expect me in church next month.

When I was 20 years old, I read about the Nuremburg trials. That was when I stopped believing there was a god.

I believe in the basic goodness of people - that ignorance and greed can be offset by education and compassion. I see that everyday here at DU, and in my own community.

We can change things for the better because we are caring beings, and its the right thing to do.

Lets look to each other and find the strength we need to create a better world for our children - and everyone's children.

Really, I've had this same petition in my head for decades. If there were one shred of proof, other than a book written by men decades after the supposed fact, I'd be more than happy to sing his praises every single day. Since, in my 54 years, I seen nothing to convince me of this beings existence, and since I am not one to believe in things blindly, I must conclude that there is no invisible, grumpy father figure in the clouds that pulls all the strings. It's said that he knows when a single hair on your head moves........OK. I've seen no proof of anything like that, and I'm one that needs proof of everything .

good points.............ironic, though, innit, that some of the same people that use that argument "can never know His plans' are the same ones who insist that it is De Lawd's will that Amurka be an Xtian nation, God hates fags, 9/11 was God's punishment..........if you have to believe strictly in the Bible to get into Heaven, then what is the point of all of those billions of other people on this planet who are non Xtian? makes no sense whatsoever
