How can we get Joe Biden off of the TV?
The guy is on the Sunday talk shows EVERY week, like he is the only Democrat who can talk. We need to run someone out there that speaks for more Democrats. Biden would be ok to be on every once in awhile, but not every week on every show. People like Feingold, Obama, Harkin, Boxer, heck anyone else would be better (well except Lieberman).

Biden just seems like a publicity hound and give off the feeling he is a used car salesman.

What do we do to stop the Joementum and get Biden off the air? Should we write letters to the other Senators asking them to be on TV more? Should we write to the TV shows? Should we write to the DNC and tell Howard to get someone out there who speaks for more Democrats?

1. Simple
The corporate media dare not bring on a Democrat who would properly refute the Repuke talking points

2. because he is a bought and paid for media whore
bought and paid for by the Republicans.
They don't want the sheeple to hear what a real Democrat would say on issues.
It muddies the water.

Diane Feinstein.

The party of diversity. Or is it the media of diversity? :eyes:

Either way, it's a shallow pond.

7. I don't watch corporate msm
anymore but when I did..3 years ago and two years before that, all I saw was biden, too. So it's been going on for a WHILE now.

Dean's really Busy getting our Grassroots planted in all 5-0 states but there are surely a lot of other Dems out there who could really speak for us.

I liked to see Barbara Boxer, John Conyers, Bernie Sanders..people like that on tv.

I see where Mario Cuomo was on mtpotatohead this morning :)

8. Find out who he is plagerizing these days
publish it - and get him to take a quiet period again (as he did from about 1989 to ... well... the recent era.)

11. REMEMBER..THAT GANNON BROUGHT UP OLE JOES NAME
that still sticks in my craw..remember after biden was on bill mahrs show and went on about gannon /guckert..gannon then made a statement or on his blog a comment ..about meeting biden at an earlier time..i swear since that came out , biden has been pandering for the rethugs!

it just really sticks in my mind as a turning point that biden has been very rethug lite...makes me sick...

10. "Biden just seems like a publicity hound and give off the feeling he is...

Spot on. And that is why he is constantly invited. No producer who knows why guests are booked and certain questions asked but not others wants to book articulate, persuasive Democrats.

Biden gives exactly the vibe that media executives want Democrats to give off...irritating, preachy, and slimy.

12. Biden is one of a coterie of media slimeballs who pass as Dems
There are others who always seem to get face time. Immediately to mind are Biden, Lieberman, and Feinstein. There are others.

I think several things are at work here. First, they're media whores who would do anything for self-agrandizing face time. Second, they're the 'triangulators' who want to be seen as 'moderate' .... at the same time trying hard to be all things to all people.

But the biggest reason, I think, is that the teevee powers that be know they can get by with them as the 'balance' to the right wing message they spew 24/7. "See? We **always** have a top Democratic leader on our shows."

On the flip side, just today, Kucinich and the lion of the Democratic Party speakers, Mario Cuomo both had some serious air time. I guess the show producers fuck up every now and again and get **real** Dems on the air.

13. Because that who they want the world to think is
our Strong on National Security and Foreign policy Presidential Contender for 2008. They want us to lose again, and what better way than to make Biden that candidate.

In the meantime, they hide the man who truly has the knowledge and says so much more in such a better way.....General Wes Clark, who actually has a plan for Iraq that makes sense. That's one of the reasons Clark signed a contract at Faux....at least his voice of reason is heard somewhere....even if it's in enemy territory!

We are just being manipulated.....AGAIN!

The Corporate media hates America and loves profits from their multitude of conflicting interest.

They are the enemy and the true destructors of our Democracy....don't ever think otherwise!
