1. Rah, rah, rah!
War is fun to watch, nothing obscene about people being killed. But nudity, OMG! Sex-you blasphemer!

I will never understand why natural acts are "dirty" but carnage is suitable fare for your children, hell-even for adults.

2. Ever considered
Maybe the guys making the show figure they could get through to the knuckle-draggers about the real people dying, if they show a hyper-realistic depiction of it?

5. Yeah, they won't show the real people dying on Television.
This is as close as we're going to get.

Have you seen the show? It's not some rah-rah bullshit. It's almost impossible to sit through.

Certainly not pro-war propaganda.

6. You remember the scene from the Pilot, of a man's legs walking w/no torso?
That kind of stuff is the 'money shot' of the obscenity.

Personally, I think a dramatic show that concentrates on the real consequences of war is the closest we'll get to real war journalism in this era of embedded cheerleader/journalists.

10. This is not pro war at all folks
Granted it is not MASH, (truly about Vietnmam, not Korea), but the war is over. This is as anti war as you can get on TV

14. That's how it impressed me, too.
Told days after the fact, the wife of the wounded man had to threaten the captain to get help to go to him.

After firing on a car and killing the occupants, the sgt admits there's a chance they were civies trying to escape the fighting.

With the replacement soldier, bigotry against Arabs is portrayed as such.

It benefits the public to be exposed to things like that. I don't see it as rah rah at all

15. Obscene movies
Casablanca - 1942
Across the Pacific - 1942
The Bells go Down - 1943
The Edge of Darkness - 1942
The Fighting Sullivans - 1944
Five Graves to Cairo - 1943
Lifeboat - 1944
Man Hunt 1- 1941
Mrs. Minivar - 1942 (nominated for 12 Oscars, won 6)
Once Upon A Honeymoon - 1942 (romantic comedy set in Europe at the start of the war)
To Be or Not To Be - 1942 (hilarious farce about Nazi occupid Poland.
Wake Island - 1942 (oscar nomination)

I think we should express our outrage with a national letter writing campaign to protest Casablanca, and move on from there. ;-)
