A baby had to spend his first year away from his mommy and daddy? What a horrible situation! I would have killed anyone who tried to take my newborn away from me, or gone insane trying.

6. yes. me too. couldnt even imagine. do you realize how many

times an event with a child is talked about on this site that there are not a handful that immediately yell, take the child away. it has become way to easy.

but we dont want to see this problem. we are afraid if we address this, we will slack on the real cases of abuse. it doesnt have to be. it isnt one losing, the other winning. it is not allowing extremism and arrogance to overshadow our thinking process.

much better to side on the wrong side in protecting child. my babies ran naked all summer for years. i took pictures for years. didnt think twice, or once for that matter. until my mother in law said something. then i realized how many pictures had penis's. i started raising the camera to cut off the nakedness. this was about 5 years ago, before we had gotten so bad in pointing the finger at parents with little thought. and a refusal to listen or see. i could easily have been one they came after.

10. more i think, more i am pissed. i took showers with babies

they were grand. naked on naked. husband did too. little baby, on naked skin, warm water hitting them. such joy. both babies loved it. it was so special, when they were cranky to strip down, get in shower and sing a song, water gently hitting their back

a catholic friend, that family never saw nakedness, thought our showers grand, but could never do because of inhibitions.

oldest boy slept with us on and off, when he was fearful, clear up to 8. still i will crawl into bed with him at times he has world on his shoulders and needs some petting, comfort, nurturing (generally cause of bush, war, christian battle). youngest never liked sleeping with us, even as infant. it is my job to figure my kids out and give them what they need. society, government, police cannot.

this is the ultimate in mess that i say, stay the f* out of my life.
