Wasn't very long, just a couple minutes but it was fairly well done, politically neutral, just the facts. I was surprised to see it.

3. This state is virtually insane, politically. Our Gov is a Dem (fairly con |
|
servative, though) and most of our local and state elected officials are too but the dolts have a habit of sending Repugs to Washington. I'm sure the reasons are 99% about shit like abortion, gay marriage (God guns and gays...you know the story) :eyes: :grr:

6. think there was funny business with Coburn winning??? dem leading |
|
until very end.......leading in polls before election
maybe OK one of the sure W states where the vote was padded so it would look like W really won the popular vote (IOW, the manipulation wouldn't be so blatant as in FL2000)????

7. I wouldn't be surprised. I've known Tom Coburn very well personally |
|
for 30 years...I was chief pilot for his daddy's company and flew him all over the country since he was a snotty teenager. I am seriously considering driving down to his house (I now live 20 miles away) and dragging his butt off to lunch and some serious conversation. I think he would go...if I remind him how many times his life was literally in my hands. Whether he'd listen and consider is another matter. His father was a fanatical Republican and we had many loud arguments over politics but I really never got into any such discussions with Tom, I left that job about the time he went into medical school and the company was sold and they got rid of my (well not 'my')* airplane. * I -treated- it as if it were my own - not a totally altruistic endeavor since the pilot usually hits first if the thing encounters any immovable obstacles.

I'm very involved with a UU church down in Norman, so I know how active the liberals can be in Oklahoma. You'd never know it by watching national election returns though.

Has anyone sent them stuff? You know you can sent stuff fedex & the like. Food from your favorite restaurants, care packages.

Diane from Code Pink is... I imagine it would suck for her if you sent over a meal from your favorite restaurant :)
