How much confidence do you have that Fitzgerald will find anything?
And more than likely, will issue a report at the end of this grand jury session? Are you holding out hope that he will indict someone, anyone, for leaking secret information about an intelligence agent? And that there will be some resolution to this matter when he is finished? Or do you think his Republicanism will win out and it will end up a whitewash?

1. He may find something but an hour before he does, he will be fired
or resign. It will be about as big of a boom as the 9/11 report...i.e. not at all...

2. I believe he will
find significant evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

The question is, will the pardons beat the indictments to the courthouse?

4. the million-dollar question
the evidence which has been leaked so far, and Fitzgerald's steadfastness, have been promising. My hunch is that with W's approval numbers plummeting, Rove will take a bullet and get pardoned.

5. So far he seems to be digging the right dirt
There are a lot of reports in Salon's War Room that Fitz may be getting the picture of a large conspiracy to cover up the whole WMD fiasco, and it is possible a great many of these pigs may be in trouble. Miller, the reporter who tries to act like a martyr, may have actually been a direct part of the conspiracy and is using this "protect my sources" mirage to cover up her own crimes, and the word is Fitz is considering indicting her for obstruction of justice and sending her away for a long time. Novak looks like he is on the verge of some sort of psychological crack up. A lot to be positive about here, this may break our way "big time".

6. he has a big stack of indictments
but i don`t think they`ll let him deliver any of them that matter. he may have been the last hope for our independent judiciary.

7. i have no faith left.
rove may go, but i don't expect anyone to do any time. the MSM will be managed, & there will be pardons for all.

i cite iran contra as a precedent.

8. I believe he knows who did what
I think he would like to have Ms. Miller's statement for the record. I believe there will be indictments, I am not sure about Rove, he may get a purgery charge. I think we will be surprised who does get indicted....

9. If Fitzgerald loses his job, the Repug Congress will lose theirs
They know it, too.

Look, if Bush fires Fitz, the President's approvals will fall twenty points, which will put Shrub below where Nixon was after the Saturday Night Massacre. If the Republican leadership doesn't ask for and get Bush and Cheney's resignations, they're going to lose fifty or sixty seats in 2006. Then they'll have an impeachment on their hands, too.

Then again, Ariel Sharon may just do an end run around the Arabian Penninsula and bomb the Iranian reactor at Busher, which will lead to the Big Bloody in the Middle East. There is a good chance that will have domestic fallout, and in the state of emergency that follows, Bush and Cheney may just keep their jobs. Of course, the new seat of the U.S. Government will be Site R. The Administration may not even need to talk to the surviving members of Congress over at the Greenbrier.

Golf, anyone?:nuke:

10. He is not a republican.
Hence, his "republicanism" should not be a factor.

11. There will be indictments
All that is up in the air at this time is how many counts on which people and who will be named as unindicted co-conspirators.
