embedded reporters- why aren't they there now?

embedded reporters- why aren't they there now?
I mean, major combat ops are over, right? And things are going swimmingly, right? You'd think the admin would be screaming for coverage of their great triumph, plus it would be safer for them to be there now, as opposed to then. So, why isn't Iraq(and the evening news/Sunday A.M. talk show circuit) crawling with news people showing us the progress? Enquiring minds want to know.

Flight Suit Barbie ... erm ... W said so, so all the embed-fellows went home. I mean, gawd, that place is so hot and dusty, with no decent food and people who can't even speak (English)! It's such a hellhole they wouldn't leave their ex-spouses there, much less stay themselves. They all went home to celebrate (unlike "their buddies", the grunts).
