5:14 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8
Deborah Mathews reporting:
The name of the officer is Sgt. Kolinek and the County Commissioner is Ray Meadows.
People were forced to not only move the vehicles, but also the tents off that triangular piece of ground, which is apparently owned by some woman. Law enforcement says that this action is based on "prescriptive easement."
The campers were told they could still park beside the road where the signs are located, but nothing, not even a can, can be on that triangular piece of land, otherwise it will be deemed trespassing.
The police have just left.
It's still dark and drizzly. It looks like any activities tonight will be scratched.
That's all for now.
