2. They're are brainwashed

COming home from the memorial to the fallen marines from Brook Park, Kevin Keane (WTAM - 1100 AM) was praising our troops for how efficient they are in killing.

He even went so far as to compare this war in Iraq to WW II.

They don't closely resemble each other, but this is the garbage being fed Americans.

4. The sad fact is...

The sad fact is that historically, Americans are a bloodthirsty people, easily excited into war.

The war fevor for Iraq has happened in every war America has fought.

I am reading about how Americans were so supportive of fighting the French in the 1780's. I recently read about the overwhelming support for the Spanish American war.

This war like attitude mirrors support of every single war America has fought, the majority of Americans support every war, and only a small heavily persecuted minority do not support the war.

I think currently, peace activists are where slavery was a few years after the 1787 British abolitionists met to condemn slavery. (http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0125-27.htm) We have decades, maybe centuries before all Americans denounce war....
