Dan Savage guest blogging for Andrew Sullivan...
I don't know why I still read Sullivan. I guess I find his constant dancing and spinning this way and that to be fascinating. His is really the only Right wing blog I read.

But Dan Savage the gay advice (read: sex) columnist is filling in for Sullivan. He mentioned he was a supporter of the war and said he would elaborate but never did. He said something about realizing he was to the right of Anne Coulter on something and being horrified.

I never would have guessed that dude to be a wingnut.

2. Say what?
I always thought he hated Bush and republicans, and for obvious reasons, takes personal affront to the very existence of Rick Santorum. He finds ways to slam them in just about every column. He seemed particularly down in the dumps after the reSelection.

News to me.

3. He's no wingnut
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Savage

"His political bent is leftist/libertarian/liberal, but he does not shy away from defending unexpected positions: he disapproves of the gay pride theme, has called for harsher civil penalties against people who knowingly place others at risk of HIV, and supports sending more American troops to Iraq in order to improve the situation of civilians there (see U.S.-led occupation of Iraq). He has often clashed with those other perceived leaders of Seattle's gay community. For example, he has often expressed contempt for the editorial calibre of the Seattle Gay News and under his editorship, The Stranger frequently publishes criticisms of the messages put out by local AIDS organizations and of how they handle their money."
