Good Morning DU, Day 4, Camp Casey, Crawford, TX

I just got off the phone with Kay.

They are having lots of rain and many are taking cover at the Peace House with a small contingent staying on the road. Yesterday there was a flat triangular space of ground they were staying on. A woman came out with the DPS and her deed saying she owned it and wanted everyone off. So now they are "literally in the ditches" on either side of this triangular piece of ground.

For anyone feeling especially generous this morning Kay says they need to get at least one, preferably two port-o-pots (handicapped accessible) to the Peace House. The vendor used in the past is Fikes Jarvis, phone #[phone]. They've furnished many times in the past and know where to deliver.

Also there is a new pizza place a couple of doors down from the Subway shop in McGregor. I'm trying to get the name and number now. I also just spoke to Elaine @ Jeff's Smokehouse in McGregor #254-840-3344 and they'll be happy to help, they can't deliver though.

I'm here on the home front in Dallas today, but will be going down with another NTJP'er, CodePink activist tomorrow.
