10. Hmmm... Is That What You Think I Meant?
Or are you just stating an independent opinion/joke?

2. Kerry is indeed a fine candidate
He is a great candidate. Unfortunatly, he doesn't have the star power of a Howard Dean, and comes off as very smart but dry and dull. He needs to put more personality into his appearances.

Nevertheless, I do not measure a candidate by his on stage presence. Kerry is a fine candidate and has a very good record.

:-)

3. good post, Pete
You summed up the way Kerry should campaign in a nutshell. Has impeccable military credentials (hero) plus a top-notch record on domestic policy.

5. Whoo-hooo!!!
Kudos to you for posting positives on your candidate.

While he's not my choice in the primary he is the man of the hour IMO if he wins the nom.

8. I welcome threads like this too - even from another side
This is the attitude we should keep when working for our candidates- inform rather than attack. Because in the end, we'll all come together. Thanks.

9. He has a damn good record
on many issues. He's well versed in statescraft. Unfortunately, I think Americans are reflexively anti-intellectual and despise a certain segment of the upper class. A segment that Kerry represents.
His appeal, I believe, is limited.

16. Not after seeing what 4 years of a nonintellectual can do
to the country. They'll want a civilized intellectual with a solid record of longtime service over the shoot from the lip, fratboy persona.

12. Good point. The more I hear/ see Kerry the more I like him.
I'd like to see him team with Gephardt as VP.

14. Kerry is Awesome
His campaign staff sucks. :-( :-(

That's it in a nutshell. Aside from Bob Graham, he has the best resume in the race, and he's brilliant to boot. But the political hacks have really messed up his campaign. I don't know what their strategy is right now except bash Dean. :-( :-( :-(
