I have arranged to have potties delivered to Crawford, need a bit of help

I got tired of sitting around on my hands dying to help. So I started picking up the phone....I just got off the phone with John who is with Cindy.. I have arranged with the Peace House and Jarvis Sanitation in MacGregor to have 2 portable toilets (one handicap and one regular) delivered to them. I'm fed exing the downpayment to them in a few minutes. If anyone wants to help with the money for the toilets PM me. I don't want to get in trouble with DU, but there are handicapped individuals there who have no restroom facilities right now and we gotta do something!!!! So I used my big mouth and phone and got it taken care of.

I negotiated a price for 2 weeks on the toilets and he gave us a good deal. Like I said if anyone wants to help with the money for the toilets please PM me.

The order has been placed already though.

We will overwhelm them. I gave them my info and they have worked for the Peace House before...I've arranged to have the Peace House invoiced but I am sending a downpayment to them via Fed Ex right now. So if you wanna send a check to the peace house or you can PM me and help out with the check I am sending them today... like I said I don't want to get in trouble with DU but not having a place to go pee is an emergency!

We'll see what we can do. If anyone is wanting another way to contribute, I see that the Peace House Website has changed their front page to total support for Cindy, and they say they're going to put up a Paypal link as well.

Unfortunately I can't go sit in the heat (if this was 3 months ago, my ass would be down there with Deet, water, and snacks for all!) but I have to do something! Money will be our contribution.

Does anyone know if there is anything they are majorly lacking besides sanitation? More food? More water?

It sounds like bail money on Thursday may end up being a big consideration, unfortunately.

Please don't call Jarvis, we are overwhelming them. I already placed the order, it's ready to go.. the more phone calls they get the greater the chance they will screw up the order.

The billing is taken care of. I have sent a check via fed ex to cover it... so I am asking that you either donate directly to the peace house or if you want to help me out with the check I just wrote to them PM me and I'll give you the info. There are 2 payments due on the toilets, and I told John I would coordinate getting it paid.

They are ABSOLUTELY SWAMPED down there. It sounded mobbed on the phone with John. He is a sweetheart... and all of you are angels for helping too.

I just couldn't sit here anymore and not do something! I read that there are a couple of people in wheelchairs and there is no where for them to go... so I did what all good big mouthed buttinsky people do and picked up the phone til I got an answer how I could help.

So if you wanna help me with the check I just sent them, PM me and I'll tell ya how. I don't want to post the info here.

Everyone has been very responsive and bless you all for helping. I did go a bit over my helping budget.. oh well ain't the first time.

If I get more donations than the toilets are for the month, I've contacted someone in Waco about having a palette of water sent to them, so I'll just use the money for that.

They are extremely disorganized and going bananas down there as you can imagine... from the sounds on the phone I'd say it's a mob scene. They do not have a phone in the house yet so just cell phones... It seems to me that the best way to handle things is for us to take the initiative, get what they need and get it delivered to them. The people who are there will post what they need. So thats what I'm thinking. If I can use my big mouth and my phone to get them what they need, I'm all over it!

Best that they not have to deal with making a million calls and dealing with vendors when there's all of us sitting here that could do that for them.

So that's the update. Bless all the Angels on DU and bless Cindy! I want to keep the people there freed up to keep her safe and sound and not worry about where somebodies gonna take their next whizz!

Camp Casey would go for food/water and then not return; I think the authorities thought they could cut off their water supply this way, but I would imagine that by today they probably decided this was not great PR and hopefully stopped doing that.

41. Well the couple calls I made, I'd say the tone is frantic.

They are slamming busy... but I too am frustrated with how disorganized it is, which is why I stuck my big old size 8 in the middle of it today... I was frustrated with seeing so many souls wanting to help and no direction to go... including me, so I just did what I usually do and step in head first and think later hehe..

If you wanna coordinate a team effort, I'm in. Sometimes ya just gotta do what needs to be done and ask forgiveness later ya know?

I'm not going to call anymore today but I'm trying to stay on top of emails and PMs from the people who are down there.

The last thing I understand is they need a party tent and more water and people are starting to show up, LOTS of people are starting to show up, so the more we get done today the better it is for tomorrow in case something does go sour.
