So NBC said they won't cover Cindy?
I just heard this on Thom Hartmann.

Did they publicly say that or just in reply to somebody who requested it?

The Today Show and some others....Some just didn't show up. Looks like they decided not to cover it.

42. "You may say I'm a dreamer"...
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one.

I followed your link and watched it, though I don't have sound on this computer so didn't get to really watch it.

I wonder where all this NBC talk is coming from, then. Weird.

Thanks for that link, by the way.

on edit: Maybe this is just a communication confusion issue. Cindy did mention them not talking to her in her blog entry, and I don't think she'd lie about it. Maybe NBC just had all the video they thought they needed without talking to her live or something. Who knows.

All coverage now is on stories that try to detract from DSM, Plame, Bush lies, and this administration's misadministration before and after 9/11, and Iraq. It won't wash.

11. Just sent this email to Keith Olbermann
Dear Keith,

It is being reported that NBC has a hands off policy on Cindy Sheehan, The Brave Mom of Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq. As I am sure you know, Cindy is in Crawford, TX trying to see President Bush, and wanting answers as to why her beloved son Casey had to die, as we all know that he was sent to Iraq for a pack of lies.

Keith, I admire you greatly and hope that you do interview her. This is truly an important story.

There are also reports that if Cindy doesn't leave Crawford by Thursday, she and her fellow demonstrators will be arrested for being a threat to National Security. Is this America, Keith? Is it????

Also, sending you healing thoughts. You must have been going through your own personal hell, and I am so sorry about that.

Wishing you the best always, and in all ways,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That's some of what we're planning for tonight's show.

Finally,

On his Web site (<http://www.starbuckseverywhere.net> ) "Winter", who was born Rafael Antonio Lozano, said that as of Aug. 8, he had visited 4,775 Starbucks in North America and 213 in other parts of world. There are 5,715 corporate-owned Starbucks in the world. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/STARBUCKING_MOVIE?SITE=NWCN&TEMPLATE=STRANGEHEADS.html&SECTION=HOME

12. Compare the hours
look at the Shiavo hours, look at Aruba hours, look at runaway bride's hours, look at Micheal Jacksons hours. Now look at this important protest. It is not like there isn't dead bodies around this story, there are almost 2 thousand American bodies. It is not like there is not a treasonous lie involved. It is not like there wasn't many crimes around this story. And to top it off, this story can lead to the impeachment of a president.

NBC 17 based in Raleigh Durham. It was a line on the news ticker saying something along the lines of "Mother of slain soldier protests war outside Crawford ranch" - I paraphrase here.

I have no idea about corporate NBC but I was happy to see it getting local coverage, even if it was only on the ticker.

22. I just sent this email to NBC & hope more of you email them also.
I hope this isn't true, but I read on the internet that you have decided not to cover Cindy Sheehan's story and have actually cancelled coverage you already had planned. Might I remind you that you are the network that gave "The Runaway Bride" not only daily coverage, but a one hour special on what was and still is truly trivial story. Daily, the "Today Show" shows all of us just how biased your network is on any subject criticizing the Bush administration. If your producers cannot recognize a real story when they see it, your network is in danger of becoming even more trivial than The Runaway Bride. I know I will be tuning into Good Morning, America now because your network just doesn't deserve my attention anymore. Such a shame, you used to be a great network.

But she insists on staying down there in Texas, where there's no electricity, no five-star hotel, no running water, and the danger of Injun attacks any second. Not to mention how close it is to Mexico, and you can never tell when they'll launch another invasion.

So no, no coverage from NBC. But hey, didja see that GE got another fat defense contract?

Keep your eye on Cindy. I've been shouting all day about the need for someone to get down there with a camera/webcam/whatever. The MSM was called off it. The next 48 hours are crucial to this story. If she makes it to the weekend without being arrested OR by being arrested ON CAMERA we have won the battle (not saying we shouldn't continue to be down there, but now is when they are going to try to quash her) I'm taking bets...
