Gene Spafford asked to audit voting machine audit logs

He's not saying it's likely he'll do it but he's been asked. Relayed to me from a Purdue University student. The comment appeared on a CERIAS mailing list.

He wrote, "I got a request from a voting official to look through some audit logs of voting machines to see if anything irregular might be present. I simply don't have the time to do this myself -- there are a lot of files."

There's been no indication of follow-up.
