Fort Hood Identifies Soldier Found Dead In Killeen Apartment

Spc. Robert S. Hunt, 22, of Houston was found dead Monday in his Killeen apartment, Fort Hood said Wednesday.

Hunt was a radio operator-maintainer with B Company, Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood said.

Killeen police found Hunt’s body Monday morning after members of the soldier’s unit tried unsuccessfully to contact him.

Hunt had been assigned to Fort Hood since August 2003 and was deployed to Iraq with the 1st Cavalary Division from March 2004 to March 2005.

Killeen police are investigating the soldier’s death.
