I May Be Crazy! But, I Believe Crawford Is THE Event! "Our Ukraine"!

I have not felt so juiced and ready to go since this stupid illegal war started. Pura Vida Dreamin referred to it as "Our Ukraine". Great description!

I truly believe that this protest action is EXACTLY what we have all been waiting for. The one that is going to bring it all together!

Up until now, the Anti-war movement has been composed of a large number of .orgs, none offering a face. Someone that America could identify with. Not to take away from the great work of these organizations, as they have been making important things happen all along!

It is just that it is hard for a news viewer to empathize with an organization. Cindy Sheehan has stepped up in her grief and become someone that all Americans can relate to on a personal level.

Call me an optimist. But, I think this is going to ignite broad nationwide opposition. Not just "disapproval", active opposition!

I have been on this ride for a long time now, I have been to several major demonstrations, I have closely tracked others. This feels very different to me. "Old school" for lack of a better description.

None of the blatant partisan games. Just us people camping on the guy's doorstep until he deals with us or he sneaks out the back door. Then we follow the coward to Washington!

I don't think it is just me that is feeling this. Am I crazy or are you with me?

8. I feel it too. Without getting all maudlin, it reminds me of when

Rosa Parks defied them all and stood her ground. This is the same thing, except I have to admit Ms. Parks really took a lonely chance on that bus, whereas Cindy has already lined up people to be with her and that was smart. Yes, I feel it, and if they arrest her on Thursday, you will see people become outraged like they haven't been in decades.

The deaths of the almost thirty soldiers and marines killed that week, so many from one place, *'s vacation, and Sheehan taking him on. I think all of these things together are getting attention.

People from Ohio interviewed on The NewsHour who formerly supported the war believe it's time to leave, or that they were lied to and are ready to get the troops out. Coupled with Bush'* disdain for this all-American mother, he looks more like a traitor and monster.

Seriously, though, if she *is* arrested, because overnight she will become "national security threat", what will they charge her with?
Trespassing? Threat to National Security? Protesting without a permit? Public nuisance? Disturbing the peace? (that would be a pretty hilarious charge)
Will they release her immediately or hold her until her "trial"?
Send her to Gitmo or some other undisclosed place?

Whatever they do, she will get more coverage and they will invariably come across as the Bad Guys.

some deep instinct that we have been waiting for the call...not around more politics as usual..but about something we care deeply about...70% of us..im thinking about dropping everything and going tomorrow...and ive been carrying around hopelessness and a broken heart since november...but cindy sheehan has courage...and she needs at least a million americans at her side...gonna sleep on it...but i tend to think the call has gone out and that this one and this time is gonna change the course of history..im praying

this is the BIG ONE! I feel, even more so than what is being planned for Washington coming up.

It's our time, and EVERYONE who wants to be involved can! No matter what part of the country you are in, NO MATTER what your circumstances are, there is a place for you! And what's better is that this whole thing isnt being run by a politician be it Democrat or Republican...this is ALL about the PEOPLE!!!! It's about what is right and honest and true......This is what DEMOCRACY looks like!

I don't have a boob tube. I don't know what the atmosphere is like out there. To me, this seems too straightforward to ignite the country. The other side has "Cindy Sheehans" too and it wouldn't be hard for them to find one to represent their side.

I sent some money to the effort because others seem excited, but I don't feel it. What am I missing?

33. I heard Howard Stern speaking supportively of her this morning,

and criticizing Bush and the war, so that must mean a lot of the younger people who focus on sports and reality TV and the like, are starting to hear about it too.

I heard Cindy tell Jay, the guy that's replacing Springer on vacation, that a lot of people had asked her about her tattoo of Casey and when she said he died in the war, they said "What war?" She was amazed because she is 48 years old, so too young to have a son that died in older wars.

They so deserve to be heard , so I am glad it is finally getting out to even the apathetic people.
