Iran is not in violation of the NPT so what is the problem??
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20050808/wl_nm/nuclear_iran_dc

What legal standing does the EU3 and the US have when the Iranians are well within their right to convert uranium for nuclear power generation?

According to the article, they are not in violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

I can understand that they may be concerned that they may be producing or converting uranium for nuclear weapons development. I also understand that Israel developed nukes "under the radar"...

I think the real fear is that Iran developing a nuke levels the playing field and puts the breaks on neo-con dreams of Middle East conquest.

1. I think they want actual control over disposal of used uranium - so that
it cannot actually make its way to bombs.

If they do it for free or at cost - how can you say no?

2. I don't think that Israel actually "developed" their Nukes.
I believe (and perhaps incorrectly) that the USA simply GAVE them some, outright.

It was Great Britain who gave Isreal the plans for nukes.

8. They gots WMD. No, they need Democracy. No...
In other words, it doesn't matter and they'll just keep shouting as they march on in. The important thing will be that they're marching on in. Always watch the actions and not the explanations.

Watch with the volume off and it becomes clear.
