Many many more people there today. We got there this evening, and the mood was great. We all sat down in a pow wow and discussed concerns and decided what each person could volunteer to do for helping out. We are going to need a lot of help putting out the thousand crosses tomorrow. Hope lots of folks come out! Met another Gold Star Family member named Bill who lost his son the same day Casey died. Also met a woman who I will post below holding her husbands picture up.

I'm only getting the 'Photobucket.com Bandwidth Exceeded' logo. I think you may need to do one of two things. One, open a new photobucket account under a different name. OR, Two, delete some of the photos you have in there already. If you delete the pictures from yesterday, you will mess up the thread you created yesterday here at DU, as those photos are still linked to photobucket. Photobucket only allows you a certain amount of bandwidth per month for hosting pictures for free, unless you subscribe to a pay-account with them, then you get a LOT more bandwidth.

sorry for the yell. Right click on the photobucket logo thingy, properties, copy, paste into address bar in new window, hit enter and it will take you to the picture. It is backwards of how you copy and paste to get pictures to show on DU. I can pull up all these this way.

I usually use FireFox as my browser. In FireFox, I was getting the warning that bandwith had been exceeded.

I fired up an old MS Internet Explorer (I keep one for updates), and the pictures come through without problems.

34. I don't know what the actual problem is,

but I occassionally run across stuff that won't work in FireFox, so I keep the IE as a back up. I also NEED IE to download updates to WinXP.

I just checked again, and the pics ARE showing up in IE.
Looks like supplies are getting through.
I suspect there will be a BIG crowd tomorrow.
I would come, but I'm just too far away (Minnesota), but planning on DC in September.

I have that shirt. It shows all of the WMD in the US. The front says, "We found them! The Weapons of Mass Destruction. They're closer than you think!" There's a map of the USA with all of the chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons spotlighted. On the back it lists all of the locations in the "WMD Tour." Each city and state and the kind of WMD stored/created there.

Considering the subject matter and his family history, I have to say he's got a snarky sense of humor, to put it mildly. :applause: He's taking the lie that was used to injure his family and is using it as a weapon, and he's using humor as one means of doing it. Awesome. Truly.

I never doubted Cindy's resolve, mostly because I've read her words since she first came out against the war and so was more familiar with her, but seeing this father in this shirt - especially considering his son died back when the military was still looking for the alleged WMD - there's no doubt in my mind that everyone around her is at just as determined.

This is going to be one helluva month!
