I'm willing to bet that the WH staff are begging Bush to speak to Cindy. But because he seems to be pychologically incapable of talking to someone who disagrees with him he isn't having any of it.

He lacks compassion,empathy; this is all tied up into who HE is

The subject is not complex. It is because Cindy controls the frame that he can't participate in the discussion. He is offended by her and will not allow himself to merely listen to her and respectfully disagree with her.

He has no respect for her. I'll bet he is furious with her.Ultimately he is afraid of Cindy just as others are afraid of the dentist.

He needed to see her the day she arrived.

Just like a tooth ache the pain/Cindy isn't going away and advil/other scheduled events can only do so much.
