Dear Mrs. Sheehan,


I’m sure you are receiving more than a few letters these days expressing support for what you are trying to accomplish down there in Crawford. Please add me to the list of grateful Americans who appreciate your sacrifice, your courage, your resolve.

Like most Americans, I believe that our nation’s most important responsibility is to those men and women who serve in our armed forces. When that responsibility is not taken seriously by those in government, when our troops are sent into harm’s way under false pretenses, when our veterans are receiving shoddy treatment upon their return, and when the families of those who have made that ultimate sacrifice are patronized, ignored, or scorned, action must be taken.

I wholeheartedly believe that if the mainstream media were properly reporting your story, there would be such a cry of outrage from the American people that these corrupt thugs who have hijacked our government would flee in terror, rather than merely barricading themselves within their Texas pig farm. As it is, you’ll have to make do with the knowledge that those of us who HAVE been following your story are, quite frankly, in awe of you.

Mrs. Sheehan, like most people who are supporting you, I never had the pleasure to meet your son, Casey. I do however know this: Casey – the boy you raised, the young man who served his country with honor, the hero who died because of the lies of a corrupt regime – had the spirit of a warrior.

How do I know this?

Because his mother is also a warrior.
