and elections. For a long while they didn't have any excuses, but with this bogus constitution thing - that the rebels probably don't even know about - the media has been given a shiny new tag line "upswing in violence attributed to the wonderful constitution writing, the chimp is winning!"

deaths in Iraq against the statements by the admin on the insurgency being in its death throes?

4. Be happy! Don't Worry! The "failed" insurgency is in it's "last throes."

Besides, it's only a miniscule part of Iraq's otherwise joyful populatation. And, the Iraqi collabor..er...military is expected to be up to the task of handling the few remaining insurgents..er, terrorists...er, fanatics..er, ex-Baath Party officials..er, the Bad Guys, within a few weeks..er, month...er, before the 2006 elections...real soon. That's when we'll start pulling the troops out...well, right after we add 20-30,000 more troops, or whenever the "situation is stablilized", "security is established", "when the Mission is Accomplished.

Of course, until that time of glorious Victory, we must Stay the Course, to Complete the Mission. What was the Mission again?
