I got the Anti-Choice guy arrested!!!!

Some of you heard about the guy who grabbed my arm outside of a Planned Parenthood.

Well, I went to file a report w/ PP and met with a police officer..

I wasn't sure what would happen ( and I'm going to be purposly vauge because of legal issues here, but I'll give you the bare bones).

The cop called me today and told me more about my little friend. Apparently, as I said before, he followed a woman from the clinic and she got scared and called 911. She didn't want to file charges (didn't want her name to come out, etc etc).

He also has been "a person of interest" in two other states. In one state, he hit a doctor. No charges were filed there because (and this is the best part) SHE kicked his ass. She maced him and then hit him with her bag, feet, hands and car keys. She broke his nose, and sent him to the hospital w/ a concussion!!!

However, no charges were filed, because he would have countered sued (even though he hit first, she went to far, blah blah blah).

But not me. I'm didn't hit him. I was only walking by, trying to get to lunch, and the man touched me. He's in a holding cell in Boston Police HQ right now.

He goes before a judge, gets bail, and then has to either plead guilty (it's a misdemenor) or go to court. If he goes to court, he can't possibly win. The laws in Mass are clear: what he did was battery.

a few points:

1- I wasn't going into the clinic, counter protesting, or in any way associated with the clinic.

2- The security guard is a witness- he has seen THIS guy before.

3- The whole thing is on video. (PP has them everywhere).

At the very least I'd suggest getting a large, intelligent, capable dog -- a Rottweiler, a German shepherd, an Alaskan Malemute, a Rottweiler/Malemute cross, etc. -- though even before getting a dog (given your state's infinite hostility to even the most elemental forms of self-defense), I'd consult a lawyer first: Massachusetts is so opposed to the individual right of self-defense, it may be the one state in which -- if your dog bites an assailant -- you go to jail. Meanwhile, go NOWHERE alone, or if that is not possible, make certain someone always knows where you are, and arrange to check in with friends several times a day to confirm you are okay. (Sorry if this seems alarming; the police SHOULD have told you all this but often don't. I would also immediately try to connect with a women's anti-domestic-violence group {perhaps through Planned Parenthood} which might be very helpful with additional information and advice.)
