Celebrities should not get involved with the Political Process
I see this all the time.

"They know nothing about politics."

"What do they know?!"

"Just because they are celebrities, it does not give them the right to slam Bush!"

A request for: Fox News and everybody else who slams Celebrities for their involvement with the political process...

Tell Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, D. James Kennedy, and anyone else who is in the 'christian' Right to shut their mouths please.

2. Bill O'Reilly was worse than a celebrity
He was a celebrity gossip show anchor and a soft-core porn author.

What does HE know about politics?

He should shut his mouth.

13. Exactly- and Rush Limbaugh was "Jeff Christie"- Gay Rock & Roll DJ.
Unless they are elected officals, most people on cable TV or the radio are "celebrites" in one way or the other.

3. Only "liberal" celebrities are required to shut up
and foreit the First Amendment rights all other citizens have. If you're Schwartzenegger or Tom Selleck or Brittney Spears or Charlton Heston, well, that's different.

7. Reagan and Ahnold were just showbiz celebrities too
Rush, O'Reilly and Hannity are nothing more than attention seeking celebrities. If it's okay for RWing blowhards and entertainers to use the spotlight to promote their politics, it is certainly just as legitimate for Democrats to do the same.

8. I couldn't agree more, and the celebrities pay very high taxes
and spread peace, while the so-called 'christian' right pay no taxes and spread nothing but hate. Guess which group I'd rather belong to?

11. O'Reilly, Sean, Matthews, Rush, Wolf, Woodruff-all Celebrities in my mind.

Just because some of them happen to have dusty, long forgotten journalism degrees does not eliminate their "celebrity" status- anyone can have an opinion, whether they are journalists or not.

12. They're just pissed that most of the cool celebrities are liberal
Colin Quinn was whining about that on the Majority Report a few months back.

entertainers are the only people who have access to microphones without first passing through some sort of ideological filter.
