Big News on CH 10 Tampa - why cheerleading is a sport & Dangerous

I can't stand to watch local news, so I won't be able to tell you more. But the teaser was how most people don't even consider cheerleading a sport let alone dangerous. But they are going to tell us why it is a dangerous sport. This is all they could find today?

So * has actually faced some danger in his life. Somebody get me a little purple megaphone sticker I can wear similar to the purple heart Band-Aids that the repugs sported. :puke:

I feel for the family also. Both my girls were cheerleaders. Also one play field hockey (also dangerous) and the other played soccer for 10 years (resulted in 4 knee surgeries - thank goodness we had health insurance at the time). Many people don't consider cheer leading a sport but it takes a tremendous amount of strength and agility, the same as for baeball, volleyball etc.
